Hair cutting not allowed to operate in Sabah.

Sabah state secretary Datuk Safar Untong said hair salons and barber shops will not be allowed to open their business during the Movement Control Order period. He said that the Sabah Government has decided not to allowed this types of business to operate because it is difficult to performe social distancing between the hairdresser and his or her clients. Datuk Safar Untung said that the decision is under the prerogative of the Sabah Government, especially the Local Authority. Hair cutting businesses are the sector that have been announced to be allowed to reopen  but this was later retracted by Malaysia Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Kerja dari rumah semasa wabak Covid-19

Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO) telah mengisytiharkan wabak virus novel corona (COVID-19) sebagai pandemik. Bilangan kes covid-19 yang disahkan positif telah meningkat di seluruh dunia. Untuk meminimumkan penyebaran COVID-19 di Malaysia dan juga di kebanyakkan negara di seluruh dunia, kerajaan telah mengarahkan pekerjanya (kecuali yang menyediakan perkhidmatan kecemasan dan perkhidmatan awam penting) untuk bekerja dari rumah sejak awal Februari 2020. Mengikut garis panduan kerajaan, majikan sektor swasta telah mengamalkan perkiraan kerja fleksibel yang sama, yang mendorong banyak kompeni swasta menggalakkan atau meminta pekerja mereka bekerja dari rumah. Oleh kerana penyebaran COVID-19 berterusan dan bekerja dari rumah menjadi "normal baru", adalah penting bahawa majikan mengambil perhatian mengenai isu-isu undang-undang berkaitan yang mungkin akan timbul. Extra stimulus packages for Small and Medium sized Enterprises.

Malaysia prime minister announced an additional allocation of $10 billion ( Ringgit Malaysia Ten Billion ) in the Prihatin Package (PR) for SMEs to help ease the financial burden of the SMEs. PM said the additional financial stimulus package would guarantee 2/3 of the Malaysia workforce remain employed. The additional measures taken is increasing the allocation for the wage subsidy programme that announced on 27th. March, 2020 to $13.8 billion from $5.9 billion. All company with local workers earning $4000 and below will receive wage subsidy assistance of between $600 to $1200. The subsidy is depend on the number of employees. This subsidy is for a period of 3 months and mainly for company registered with SSM, PERKESO ( SOCSO) or local authorities before 1st. January, 2020.
